High-profile art and architecture schools are the ideal springboards for a successful professional career – but in order to get into them, you need to go through a competitive process that can often be very demanding. Applicants are expected to undergo a preparatory year as a mandatory transition stage, and to acquire theoretical bases and solid practical skills as a way of defining their own creative universe.
For thirty years, Ecole Conte has facilitated entry for hundreds of students into the most prestigious establishments in France and abroad, with a success rate standing at over 90%.
Students are supported through all of their exams and tests. The artistic portfolio is fine-tuned and checked throughout the year, based on the student’s own theme. Once the subject has been received, students can work onsite to complete their artistic creation. They get to benefit from the infrastructure on the premises and the teachers’ support.
The teaching is both general and specific to the chosen specialisation, and is centred around three hubs:
– Technical study and drawing
– General and artistic culture
Depending on the subject, students might either be monitored on a continuous basis, or via quarterly grading. In addition, every student presents him or herself to a panel of teachers twice during the year during which the student formulates an oral defence of their work portfolio completed during the course.
